About the Role

Vehicle Test Engineer in this is responsible for End-to-End software and Product testing, Vehicle testing for automotive telematics product

What You Will Do

Responsible to coordinate and perform the vehicle testing activities at customer place.Coordinate from various team hardware, mechanical, software, device, compatibility, cloud/backend and mobile apps.Responsible for vehicle test at customer location and support for customer activitiesGood communication with customer and Harman colleagues at multiple locationsExperience in TEST AUTOMATION is added advantage, especially on Python.Responsible for Sanity Test, System Test, End-to-End feature test, OTA test, compatibility test and device functionality tests for various customers and projects. Ensure tests are completed and publish the report timelyParticipate in analysis of logs for any issues reported during testing.Vehicle level integration test with various system level ECUsSupport Full System test of the device FW before every factory or maintenance release that includes KPI, Performance, security, power management, state management based on ignition states, GPS, sensor and various functionalities. Ensure tests are completed and publish the report.Supporting vehicle compatibility testing – tracking, execution and reporting.Test support and live debugging support for development of new features or Change requests.Experience with CANoe, PCAN – CAN simulation toolsExperience with Telematics, Automotive based products testing and Qualification.Strong knowledge on SOFTWARE Testing conceptsConnect with various stakeholders of the product for any clarification on the requirements/Expectations from device, cloud, app and web portal.Understanding the client functional/Non-Functional requirements, high level design documents provided by client

What You Need

At least 8-10 year of experience as a Test Engineer in Automotive especially on telematics domainExperience with Bench and Vehicle level testsGood understanding of Telematics requirements.Experience with Software Testing (White box/Grey box)Experience with CAN simulation tools, Telematics feature testing, Ethernet and End to end test with other system level ECUsExperience in API testExperience with data analysis, logs, tracing, Vehicle Integration testGood English and Japanese communication skills both written and verbalHW setup knowledge, also Telematic/Infotainment systems with knowledge on CAN, Diagnostics and Telephony

What is Nice to Have

ISTQB CertifiedKnowledge of Automotive Testing Standard (A-SPICE)Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations.Some experience in Automation and Scripting (Python)
