Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will have the opportunity to operate a Genie Boom Lift or telehandler, playing a crucial role in tying rebar and rigging it together in bundles to be efficiently picked up. Previous experience working in a manufacturing or rebar environment is preferred, as you will need to start immediately with minimal training.
ResponsibilitiesOperate Genie Boom Lift or telehandler.Tie rebar and rig it together in bundles for efficient handling.Perform tasks related to material handling using various equipment.Utilize overhead cranes, boom trucks, and reach trucks.Conduct welding, grinding, and deburring tasks.Bend conduit and operate various machines.Use a tape measure accurately.Rig chains to securely tie rebar bundles.Essential SkillsExperience with labor and production work.Proficiency in handling rebar and rigging.Ability to operate overhead cranes and reach trucks.Skill in welding and grinding.Experience in machine operation.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with Genie Boom Lift and telehandler operations.Knowledge of bending conduit and deburring processes.Previous experience in a manufacturing or rebar environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in an industrial environment located downtown at a rebar manufacturer. The office is small, with business casual dress code, while the shop requires jeans, steel toes, and a t-shirt. Safety glasses are mandatory in safety-sensitive areas. Expect a hot and dirty environment, but one that is dynamic and engaging.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
