Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will interact directly with the telecommunications subscribers, command representatives and contractors, determines the level of access required by the customer and the access allowed within established criteria. You will manage telecommunications records to include outside plant copper cable pairs, coaxial cabling and fiber optic strand assignments and documentation. You will manage administrative workload to include tasking and work oversight of administrative personnel. You will perform budget administration and management functions including formulation and revision of annual budget verses costs and services, and preparing special project cost estimates. You will manage all aspects of external service contracts to include, but not limited to, wireless services, cellular phones and paging systems contracts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide administrative management by performing technical, analytical planning and execution of telecommunication program and projects, maintain budget and contract management, and oversee telecommunication and media equipment inventory to support mission requirements for the Telecommunications branch. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
