Assists with planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing network systems. **Job Description** **What you’ll do:** + Design and engineer fiber optic outside plant telecommunications networks. + Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess potential locations for fiber optic cable deployment. + Prepare detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation for projects. + Analyze network performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability. + Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. + Work closely with project stakeholders to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. + Provide technical support and troubleshooting for outside plant issues. + Maintain accurate records of network assets and infrastructure changes. **What we’re looking for:** **Telecom Consultant Associate SG6** _Education:_ + Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study + Or Associate's degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience + Or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required. _Experience:_ + No additional experience, other than what is listed above, is required. _Licenses/Certifications:_ + Valid Driver's License is Required. **Telecom Consultant SG7** _Education:_ + Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study + Or Associate's degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience + Or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required. _Experience:_ + 2 years of relevant work experience in addition to any experience mentioned above. _Licenses/Certifications:_ + Valid Driver's License is Required. **In addition:** + Possess entry to basic level knowledge of communications technologies and inter-networking principles. + Demonstrate competency in analytical techniques necessary to handle basic assignments.
