Technology & Systems Manager
Job Title: Technology & Systems Specialist Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite required) Our client, a growing brand in the retail/service space, is seeking a Technology & Systems Specialist to take ownership of their technology platforms and digital tools. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support day-to-day operations, optimize systems, and ensure a seamless tech experience across multiple locations. About the Role: This position is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, resourceful, and eager to learn new platforms. You don’t need to be an IT expert, but you should be comfortable navigating multiple systems, training others, and solving everyday tech challenges in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: System Administration & Support + Administer platforms including POS & booking software, Freshdesk, Vonage, Microsoft 365, ScreenCloud, Sonos, and MS Teams. + Manage hardware assets: iPads, TVs, sound systems, laptops, and more. + Configure systems, manage user access, and oversee integrations. + Act as the first line of support for system issues across locations. + Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues. Security & Compliance + Maintain and update IT and cybersecurity policies. + Lead training programs on digital security best practices. Optimization & Efficiency + Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and system enhancements. + Maintain SOPs and ensure platform settings align with operational needs. Training & Onboarding + Train HQ and field staff on software usage and best practices. + Develop training materials and support new location launches. Reporting & Data Integrity + Ensure data accuracy across platforms. + Collaborate with finance, marketing, and operations to support reporting needs. Project Support + Assist with system rollouts, integrations, and upgrades. + Ensure systems scale effectively with business growth. Qualifications: + 3+ years of experience managing technology platforms in a retail or service environment. + Technical expertise with business applications (CRM, ERP). + Prior experience with SaaS platforms. + Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally. + Must be able to work onsite in Boston at least 3 days per week. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
