As a Technology Support III team member in Commercial and Investment Bank's Post Trade Tech Team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.

 

Job responsibilities

Provide end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firmSupport the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availabilityAssist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability toolsIdentify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholdersAnalyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology servicesMinimum 8 years of experience doing application development and/or production support in finance domain.  Technically hands-on working with Linux, scripting (Shell, Python and/or Perl) and database systems (Sybase/Oracle SQL/PLSQL).Technical exposure to following tools for application support - Geneos, ServiceNow, Autosys, Splunk, Control MWorking knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languagesWorking knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.Ability to guide junior team members and drive meetings with key stakeholders

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Java programming experience in any modern language would be a great plus.  Exposure to supporting applications on AWS Cloud and Hadoop would be would be a great advantage and a differentiator.Interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed.Quick thinker, problem solver (even under pressure) and a fast learner under constantly changing environment.\Ability to automate and build tools for improved productivity, or eagerness to learn it.
