TECHNOLOGY PROJECT SENIOR MANAGER- IT RISK AND REGULATORY WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The IT Risk and Regulatory Project Manager is responsible for planning and executing the successful delivery of long-term and/or complex technology projects or programs focused on IT risk, compliance, and regulatory initiatives. This role leads cross-functional project teams responsible for implementing critical regulatory controls, risk mitigation frameworks, and technology governance protocols. The role is instrumental in driving adherence to regulatory timelines and ensuring fulfillment of compliance objectives while balancing budget, scope, and quality standards. Responsibilities also include proactive stakeholder engagement, negotiation of scope changes, and effective communication with risk, audit, legal, and technology partners. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Independently manage multiple large-scale IT Risk and Regulatory projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise compliance mandates and regulatory requirements (e.g., FFIEC, OCC, SOX, GDPR, etc.) Oversee and manage project budgets related to IT control implementations, remediation plans, and regulatory gap closures Lead project activities involving risk assessments, remediation efforts, audit responses, and control testing to ensure delivery within regulatory timelines Serve as a liaison between technology, information security, legal, risk, and business stakeholders to define and document regulatory and compliance-driven requirements Develop and maintain project plans including compliance milestones, control implementation schedules, cost estimates, staffing plans, and dependency tracking Conduct project-level risk assessments to identify compliance risks and control failures, and create effective mitigation strategies with contingency planning Monitor progress, escalate risks and blockers, and ensure transparency through executive-level reporting and compliance dashboard Interfaces with all levels of management throughout the bank Displays creativity when designing solutions to problems Creates formalized governance structures, reports and presentations Presents to senior and executive level management Contributes effectively to the collective team effort and offers ideas and solutions to complex problems Recognized as a trusted mentor and leader among project managers WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Required Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Minimum of 7 years project manager experience Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex technical projects involving large teams Additional Qualifications 2 or more years of banking or financial industry experience preferred Advanced senior professional with wide ranging experience uses professional concepts and to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways Requires specialized depth and or breadth of expertise Serves as an expert in own discipline or area of specialization Preferred to have industry knowledge to support the design and/or vendor product selection to solve corporate wide issues or enhancements Must be extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of project methodology, project management tools and techniques across all project activities Strong presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple and logical manner PMP certification preferred Agile Scrum Master Certification preferred 2 years of Agile Scrum Master experience preferred Must be able to create highly complex MS Project plans, MS PowerPoint decks and Excel workbooks WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
