Technology Equipment Technician & Sales Rep I
Are you ready to join a growing team? CTG is seeking to fill a Technology Equipment Technician & Sales Rep I opening for our client in Cheektowaga, NY. Location: Cheektowaga, NY Duration: 3 months Overview: Completes activities related to installations, configuration, and operations of systems hardware and software, as well as handling corporate technology equipment. Serves as a direct point of contact to clients and customers in the sale of refurbished technology equipment. Primary Responsibilities: Refurbish laptops and desktops through a comprehensive process that includes physical cleaning, hardware inspection, functional testing, updating firmware, reinstalling operating systems, and replacing or upgrading components as needed. Configure technological equipment according to organizational standards and operational guidelines, including hardware/software setup, system settings, application installations, and security compliance checks. Complete the disposition of all technology equipment including laptops, desktops, thin clients, workstations, tablets, Apple devices, MiFi devices, scanners, printers, and related peripherals. Provide troubleshooting and resolution for routine to moderately complex issues using diagnostic tools. Maintain and track repair inventory logs for all devices and equipment. Triage and process ServiceNow orders and tickets to ensure continuity of business operations. Participate in ServiceNow enhancement feedback and software testing as needed. Support the discovery, transport, and evaluation of unused equipment throughout the Bank. Assess equipment for resale potential and refurbish salvageable items for profitable resale. Participate in retail sales of equipment to employees and external parties. Complete order processing, shipping, and inventory tracking for customer orders. Serve as a direct point of contact to clients and customers in refurbished equipment sales. Maintain strong knowledge of bank applications, systems, vendor technologies, and services. Adhere to company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, escalating issues as needed. Promote an environment of diversity and represent the M&T Bank brand. Maintain internal control standards, ensuring timely implementation of audit and regulatory requirements. Complete other related duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities: This role involves hands-on technical work refurbishing and configuring equipment, providing customer-facing sales support, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Responsibilities impact both internal business continuity and external customer satisfaction. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: None. Education and Experience Required: Knowledge of technology and attention to detail. Basic PC skills. Minimum of 3 years higher education and/or relevant work experience. Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with clients at varying levels to gather, document, and analyze requirements. Independent and team-oriented work style. Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Process-oriented mindset. Education and Experience Preferred: Associate degree in a technology-related field. Certifications or special training in related technologies. Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Understanding of organizational processes, systems, and technology integration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective influencing skills. Physical Requirements: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
