**Job Summary:**
This position represents a technical leadership role. A Technology Engineer is responsible for contributions toward strategic technology development, platform and new product development, existing product support, and process conformance as directed. Additionally, a Technology Engineer will identify, recommend, and implement technical platforms, philosophies, and infrastructures with the goal of enabling rapid deployment and interfacing of those technical platforms to system platforms. This position reports directly to a Strategic Technology Manager.
The Power Technology Engineer contributes to the architecture, development, and implementation of strategic power technologies. This includes Electrical Hardware areas such as instrumentation-grade power isolation, instrumentation power amplifiers, precision voltage and current sensing, closed-loop and open-loop source, pulse, and measurement systems, and power switching and power device connectivity.

+ Consultant to manager on technological possibilities, limits, and costs in one or more technical discipline.
+ Takes technical or leadership role on large projects. Expected to take key role in implementing and/or supporting new technologies, processes or programs.
+ May build, coordinate, and implement strategic projects with customers, suppliers, and other outside partners.
+ Actively seeks to identify possible opportunities for inbound (licensing, joint development, acquisition) and outbound (licensing, joint development, spin-offs) open innovation and conveys these opportunities to the manager.
+ Demonstrate and support Strategic Technology (ST-TRL), Agile Product Development (APD), and other innovation processes, practices, and principles.
+ Estimates technology development timeframes and readiness and is responsible for estimating timeline risk and meeting the agreed and established timelines. Monitors project status, understands risk areas and maintains a flow of information to the manager.
+ Will perform feasibility studies and experiments to support technology, platform, and/or architectural decisions and may act as a consultant in long-term planning.
+ Gather and document new technology and product requirements in coordination with Product Management and Planning.
+ Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, and Product Development in setting technology, project, and product goals such as performance, schedule, cost, acceptance criteria.
+ Creates alliances across functions and disciplines throughout organization.
+ Establish and maintain design documentation and disclosures necessary to protect and deploy intellectual property within the organization.
+ Conduct and document technology and design review meetings.
+ Support development of technology roadmap and implement solutions based upon stated goals.
+ Ensure technology and product suitability for targeted applications, manufacturability, sustainability, and profitability.
+ Exercise effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Assist Platform and Product Development engineers as necessary to create and circulate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Authorizations (ECAs), and Waivers.
+ Provides technical supervision, direction and mentoring to lower-level engineers, technicians and acts as consultant to peers.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**
+ A four-year technical degree in the applicable field (Electrical or Computer Engineering or related degree) is expected.
+ An advanced degree in an applicable field is preferred.
+ Exceptions will be considered based on equivalent demonstrated experience and performance.
+ Practical knowledge designing and implementing electrical power hardware such as isolated dc-dc power converters or switch-mode power amplifiers.
+ Experience and understanding of circuit design, simulation, hardware prototyping and testing.
+ Experience and understanding of magnetic, optical, wireless, capacitive power transmission techniques and controls (non-linear, resonant, etc.)
+ Understanding of high-voltage and high-current safety requirements as well as measurement techniques
+ Experience and familiarity with electrostatic, magnetic, and RF noise coupling mechanisms, layout techniques, and shielding capabilities.
+ Familiarity with multiple semiconductor technologies (Si, SiC, GaN, etc.) and capabilities.
+ Experience and understanding of different power amplifier types and topologies, including linear, non-linear, and resonant.

**Bonus or Equity**
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
**Pay Range**
The salary range for this position in local currency is 101500.00 - 188500.00
