We are seeking a detail-oriented Varietal Control Technician to join our team in Agadir-Ida-Outanane, Morocco. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and purity of our plant varieties through rigorous testing and analysis.

Conduct varietal purity tests on seed samples using established protocols and techniquesPerform field inspections to verify crop characteristics and assess varietal authenticityAnalyze and interpret test results, preparing comprehensive reports for management and clientsMaintain accurate records of all testing procedures, results, and quality control measuresCollaborate with the production team to ensure compliance with varietal control standardsStay updated on local and international seed regulations and industry best practicesAssist in the development and improvement of varietal control proceduresParticipate in seed quality assurance programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field1-3 years of experience in varietal control, seed quality assurance, or a similar role preferredStrong knowledge of plant varieties, genetics, and seed production processesProficiency in laboratory techniques and quality control proceduresExcellent data analysis and reporting skillsDemonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentFamiliarity with local and international seed regulationsProficiency in relevant computer applications and data management systemsWillingness to conduct field visits to local farms or seed production facilities as neededRelevant certifications in seed quality control are a plusFluency in English; knowledge of French and Arabic is advantageous
