Bachelor's degree 5+ years of progressive experience in automotive service operations, dealership management, operations consulting, or a similar role with a strong emphasis on process improvement, performance optimization, and data analysis. Experience working within or directly supporting a large-scale dealer network is highly preferred. 3+ years of experience interpreting complex data sets (KPIs, labor data, financial metrics) to identify trends, opportunities, and root causes. 3+ years of experience applying process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to drive operational efficiencies and measurable outcomes.Even better, you may have...
Demonstrated success in leading complex projects from conception to implementation, effectively managing change within a large organization or network. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and influence diverse stakeholders, from technicians to senior leadership. Deep understanding of automotive service operations, diagnostic procedures, repair processes, and the challenges faced by dealership service departments. Familiarity with relevant software and systems (e.g., Dealer Management Systems (DMS), CRM platforms, diagnostic tools, data visualization tools). Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and develop long-term solutions that align with business objectives. You'll work collaboratively with diverse teams, from engineers to field service personnel, to ensure our technicians have the tools, training, and processes to excel.
PRIMARY: Technician Productivity & Utilization Optimization: Lead the comprehensive analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), labor data, and service throughput across our dealer network. Your insights will be crucial in identifying strategic opportunities to significantly enhance technician productivity and overall shop utilization. Design, champion, and meticulously implement innovative initiatives that leverage industry best practices, cutting-edge diagnostic technology, and advanced process improvements to optimize technician workflow, scheduling, and efficiency. Drive measurable improvements in repair cycle times, technician throughput. You'll be the architect of a more efficient service future as the key technician advocate of DO WORK time. Collaborate strategically and extensively with our Retail and Commercial Service Repair Growth teams on overall repair optimization and be the Single Point of Contact for Technician Productivity and Utilization Optimization. SUPPORT: Dealership Technical & Repair Standards: Collaborate strategically and extensively with our Technical Field Organization, Service Engineering teams to define, evolve, and rigorously enforce world-class technical standards and repair procedures for all Ford and Lincoln vehicles. This ensures consistency and quality across the network. Act as a critical liaison, ensuring our dealers have seamless and timely access to all necessary specialized tools, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, comprehensive technical resources, and continuous training programs. This empowers them to perform repairs efficiently, correctly, and to the highest quality standards, minimizing guesswork and maximizing precision. SUPPORT: Repair Execution & Process Improvement: Work holistically to optimize the overall execution of repairs within the dealership service environment, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies from vehicle check-in to customer handover. Refine and streamline existing repair processes, paying particular attention to the critical repair triage process, to enhance efficiency, reduce diagnostic time, and accelerate repair completion. Leverage advanced production system tools, methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma principles, Theory of Constraints), and sophisticated data analytics to identify root causes of inefficiencies, implement sustainable solutions, and foster a robust culture of continuous improvement in all repair operations.
