Overview Job Summary Provides patient care as directed by the professional registered nurse and/or Physician and is accountable for own actions under this direction. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities + Carries out initial vision assessment + Performs auto-refraction measurements + Conducts pupil and Visual Field assessment + Performs ophthalmic imaging studies + Administers anesthetic and dilating medications + Performs surgical measurements + Coordinates surgical planning + Performs other duties as assigned. Specifications Experience Minimum Required Preferred/Desired + 1 year relevant experience in a clinic, medical office, or hospital setting. Education + Appropriate education Minimum Required + Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred/Desired Training Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Special Skills Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Licensure Minimum Required + BLS within 14 days of hire.
