A Technician 4 – Technical Operations has substantial knowledge in the basic skills and able to perform the intermediate skills and procedures of the department training plan. The technician is assigned to work on study, performing skills independently which may include animal handling/restraint, housing maintenance, and feeding procedures; collecting data, observing the animals for health status, and body weight measurements; administering more intermediate/specialized doses by various methods, and/or biological specimen collections for analysis. The technician assists with more advanced skills that may include working with additional species, and/or specialized procedures to support the study needs.
