Technician - Industrial Automation Elgin, Illinois **Hybrid** Contract Our client is an American multinational telecommunications company known for its pioneering role in the mobile communications industry. We have an opening for a **Technician - Industrial Automation** to support their growing automation operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation systems, a strong technical background, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. **Contract Duration:** Through 10/3/2025 (potential extension based on performance and business needs) **Hourly Pay Rate** : $28 - $30 **Required Skills & Experience** + Associate's Degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (Bachelors Degree preferred) + 2-4 years in a related industrial automation or technician role. + Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, computers, and automated systems. + Experience with automation software and control systems. + Familiarity with motion sensors, control components, pneumatic devices, and photosensors. + Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted and 50 lbs assisted. **What You Will Be Doing** + Maintain and repair computer-controlled systems and robotic devices in industrial and commercial settings. + Provide immediate response to equipment malfunctions and escalate unresolved issues to + management and engineering teams. + Perform scheduled maintenance and diagnostics as outlined in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) documentation. + Troubleshoot and diagnose automation control systems using schematics, diagrams, and manufacturer documentation. + Install, configure, and commission new robotic systems and production equipment, including hardware upgrades. + Execute automation programming tasks and support software adjustments in collaboration with engineering. + Record and analyze data related to root cause analysis, corrective actions, and maintenance activities. + Monitor and support process improvements and assist engineering teams with process changes. + Communicate effectively with production, quality, engineering, and management teams. + Support machine configuration, fixture setups, and adjustments for operators. + Ensure compliance with safety procedures, training, and EHS standards. + Utilize advanced technical knowledge to analyze and resolve complex hardware issues. **You will receive the following benefits:** + Medical Insurance - Four medical plans to choose from for you and your family + Dental & Orthodontia Benefits + Vision Benefits + Health Savings Account (HSA) + Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts + Voluntary Life Insurance, Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Insurance + Hospital Indemnity Insurance + 401(k) including match with pre and post-tax options + Paid Sick Time Leave + Legal and Identity Protection Plans + Pre-tax Commuter Benefit + 529 College Saver Plan Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
