KLFY and KLFY.COM i s looking for a self-motivated individual to join the top-ranked on-air and digital news team in Lafayette, La. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn multiple positions including studio production and digital production. The idea candidate will be involved in studio production, including directing, floor directing and operation of teleprompter. This candidate will also be part of the KLFY + digital team. Use of podcasting platforms will be a plus. Po sition Responsibilities: + Coordinates with production personnel to produce clean and engaging newscasts and programs. + Switches video sources and given direction at the same time during live broadcasts. + Tests equipment to ensure proper operation. + Ensure all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality. + Skill/Experience Requirements: + Fluency in English + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written + Experience in news operations and production. + Proficiency with computers, telephones, and other office equipment + Proficiency with broadcast control equipment + Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Some schedule flexibility (mornings, nights, weekends) + Regularly meets measurements of success. + Proficiency in WordPress a plus + Education Requirements: + High School Diploma Nexstar Media Group, Inc.
