At ZF Wind Power, we are a global leader in technology-driven manufacturing of on- and offshore wind turbine gearboxes and powertrains and a global service partner. We lead the high-performance onshore market segments with our SHIFT compact modular platform designs. We delivered the world’s first offshore 9.5 MW wind turbine gearbox and, in close cooperation with our partner, delivered the first next generation 15 MW offshore powertrain.
We have the world’s largest installed capacity of +8 MW offshore wind turbine gearboxes. Since entering the wind industry in 1979, we have delivered more than 85,000 gearboxes, powering over 200 GW wind turbines, covering more than 25% of the total installed capacity of geared-driven wind turbines worldwide. What you can look forward to as Technician Component Testing:
Accountable for the exploitation and safe operation of one or a set of test rigs Organize the detailed planning with input from the test engineer or requestor, moreover organize and execute assembly steps, logistics and storage of components/instrumentation Perform the first inspection of the tested parts and organizes additional measurements in case requested and document this information in a report, furthermore prepare the test data package and performs basic evaluations using available tools Execute first line issue handling and organize support from others (test engineer, maintenance, suppliers…) Prepare instructions for assy/disassy of test setups of accountable test rig(s) as well as make proposals for improvement activities on the test rig setup and environment Execute first line maintenance interventions, request and organize second line planned maintenance interventions/intervals by facilities (small activities) acc maintenance plan At large maintenance intervals or test rig updates you plan and guide the actions to be performed, plus plan and follow up orders for needed equipment
