Summary: Automation Tech is responsible for the maintenance and operation of communication and SCADA systems, and coordination of SCADA projects with internal stakeholders while liaising with external vendors. The chosen incumbent will also perform root cause analysis and implement solutions for automation systems. XSPC and Topserver configuration will also be included in the routine duties and responsibilities for this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:Include but are not limited to:
Serve as System Administrator for XSPOC users and maintain a high level of internal customer supportProvide timely updates on special projects and system performanceMaintain Microsoft-based SCADA servers and network equipmentAdhere to all safety and environmental policies and proceduresConfigure XSPOC and TopServer to collect data from field RTU’sSchedule and perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and system updatesInvestigate problems and suggest solutions to prevent future occurrenceAble to troubleshoot using P&IDs and loop diagramsDaily meeting and scheduling of activities with team members and contractorsTrain team members and operators on operation of XSPOCRequired Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentFive (5+) years of I&E oil and gas related experienceThree (3+) years Knowledge in SCADA network architectureFamiliarity with PLCs and oil and gas instrumentation and control systemsMust possess and maintain a valid driver’s licenseAble to satisfy insurability standards to drive a company vehicleAvailable for after hour emergencies and upgradesPreferred Qualifications:Basic knowledge of PLC programmingKnowledge of Microsoft Sequel Data BasesRelocation:This position may be available for relocation assistance.Work Authorization:Diamondback Energy is not currently sponsoring employment visas for this position.Diamondback is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
