Position Function

Install, test, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, electric lights, power distribution, circuit controls, and appliances throughout the buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Receive work orders and coordinate work to fit schedule as assigned by Lead Electrician.Estimate time and materials required on work order.Maintain facility helpdesk call system, watts-up, mechanical alarm systems.Repair electric motors, controllers and other auxiliary electrical devices.Install new wiring and electrical machinery; work from prints and diagrams to determine layout, location, and specifications of items to install.Isolate and repair defective circuits as required.Dismantle electrical machinery and break connections; replace defective parts; reassemble, and test for proper operation.Check and repair lighting systems at campusMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety regulations.Assist the fire alarm testing company, as needed, to maintain facility fire alarm system.

Minimum Skills/Abilities

Read schematic and troubleshooting of M&E issues.Have good communication skills.

Certification/Licensure

Certificate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering2-3 years working experience as technician in building, factory or hospital
