Position Overview The Technician performs hands-on maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities for building systems and equipment. This role ensures the proper functioning of building services installations, addresses technical issues, and supports overall facility operations through practical technical skills. Technician: Entry to mid-level position (3+ years experience), performs standard maintenance tasks under supervision Qualifications Education and Experience Certificate/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Service Engineering/Building studies or related discipline Registered Electrical Worker with license A0 (preferable) Senior Technician: At least 5 years of maintenance experience Technician: At least 3 years of maintenance experience Skills and Attributes Independent, hardworking, with good working attitude Fluent communication skills in Cantonese Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal abilities Practical technical skills in various building systems Key Responsibilities Maintenance and Repairs Carry out minor repairs, routine monitoring, and operational preventive maintenance Identify defects and necessary repairs in building services installations Maintain good conditions of building systems, fabrics, and common areas Handle and repair electrical, mechanical, ELV systems, and plumbing/drainage faults Conduct ad-hoc repairs for building services system breakdowns Technical Support Provide handyman technical support services for general office areas Perform office furniture assembly, door/lock repairs, lighting fixture installation Execute drywall repair and maintenance as needed Support other technical needs throughout the facility System Administration Use the Authority's computer-aided Facility Management System (FMS) Record maintenance activities and complete work orders in the system Assist in controlling and managing parts and equipment inventory Maintain relevant building services records in an organized manner Workspace Management Maintain workshop and facility rooms in clean and tidy condition Organize tools and equipment properly Ensure safe working environment in technical areas Emergency Response Attend to emergency and typhoon-related duties as required Perform overtime work when necessary May work nights and during public holidays/weekends Provide 24/7 emergency call support and site attendance when needed Additional Duties Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors Handle ad-hoc tasks as required Working Conditions On-site position requiring physical work and system access May require flexible working hours including evenings and weekends May be exposed to machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment Must be comfortable working in various areas of the facility Reporting Structure Reports to: Technical Officer/Duty Engineer Senior Technician may supervise: Junior technicians or general workers Distinction Between LevelsLocation:
