**Job Title: Groundskeeper Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Groundskeeper Technician with a strong working knowledge of exterior plant care and a creative approach to the design and execution of grounds projects, including repairs and new installations. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in a wide variety of grounds-related equipment and have experience with irrigation infrastructure, operational optimization, and system controls. This position requires availability for extended hours during spring and fall clean-ups and snow removal to ensure the safety of the property and employees.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain grounds and property at two locations in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
+ Operate equipment related to grounds maintenance, such as mowing, sweeping, blowing, digging, plowing, and sanding, based on seasonal needs.
+ Care for a variety of plants.
+ Ensure safety on the property, including parking lots, ramps, roadways, emergency exits, and sidewalks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Lawn care and maintenance expertise.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.
+ Experience in landscaping and snow removal.
+ Knowledge of irrigation systems.
+ Ability to operate equipment such as skid steers and perform small engine repairs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5 years of experience in lawn care/maintenance and snow removal or a new graduate with a horticulture degree.
+ Clean and valid driver's license.
+ Willingness to work early mornings and weekends for snow removal.
+ Flexibility to work across two separate sites and rotate jobs as needed.
+ Self-directed, reliable, and creative in solving grounds-related issues.
+ Pride in maintaining beautiful and safe campuses.
+ Horticulture degree preferred.

**Work Environment**
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7am to 3:30pm, with possible overtime required. Approximately 85% of the work is conducted outdoors, requiring the ability to work in extreme temperatures and varied weather conditions. Physical requirements include standing for 4-6 hours per day and the ability to walk behind, push, carry, or lift various grounds equipment weighing up to 55 lbs. The assignment is expected to last around 12 months, with the possibility of applying for a permanent role within the company.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
