Job Description:
The purpose of the position is to execute Performance and Reliability test plan to support variable speed drive development projects. Support in house testing for customer application related issues and other engineering group with Variable speed drive setup, data logger, scope and power meter.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute performance and Reliability test plan to support drive development projects. Support in house testing for customer application related testing/issues. Execute performance and Reliability test plan that includes but not limited to ordering of drive mounting fixtures, setting up tests, run tests, pre/post testing of drives that has gone through the reliability testing, visual testing, bench testing on RL load, software limit testing. Perform Initial Failure analysis on Drives, Programming/Reprogramming/performance testing of the drives, help with UL testing of compressor using drives, Workmanship analysis of drives. Work with other lab techs on system testing/troubleshooting.
Work with Engineers to duplicate customer failures in-house, diagnose the failures and provide reports. Support customer sample needs. Work with Engineers to create engineering wiring drawings for customer Kits and assemble customer wiring kits. Provide field support as needed.
Basic Qualification:
Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic or equivalent education plus 1 year of experience working with electronics.
Preferred Qualification
Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic or equivalent education plus 3-4 years of hands on industrial experience in electronics field
Good understanding of electronics components, Comfortable working with high voltages, knowledge of data acquisition system such as lab view, Working knowledge of electronics lab equipment such as scope, power supply, Power meter.
Skilled in organizing, prioritizing and coordinating highly effective working relationships within the organization
Strong problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work on multiple testing projects at the same time
