Purpose of Role: To carry out maintenance, repairs, inspections and overhauling on Weir Minerals equipment on customer sites and in the service centre.

Key Responsibilities:
Stripping and assembly including root cause analysis and fault finding on Weir Minerals equipment.
Installation of pumps and other Weir Minerals products
Carry out and assist in planned maintenance of client’s equipment on all sites
Perform repair services of Weir equipment on customer site/s or workshop
Maintain a high-level service repair work on service contracts
Keep contractor packs up to date
Assist with training of mine personnel or Weir staff
Accumulate consumption of spares and pump performance history
Routine maintenance duties on all sites
Perform standby duties
Offer new products and value adding solutions to contracts
Compile a field service report on the findings, ensure that it is signed by customers and hand the report to Service Supervisor. Follow up on recommendations from report/s
Maintain and assist with LEAN implementation

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Grade 12 or N3 Certificate or equivalent
Qualified: Fitter / Fitter & Turner / Millwright (Verified Section 13 / 26D qualification)
Valid driver’s licence
Computer literate – Microsoft Office suite
2-4 years’ experience in minerals processing plants
Maintenance on process equipment experience
Knowledge of the Mine, Health & Safety Act
