Technician, Tool and Die Machinist
**1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm; OT scheduled based on production needs** **What you will do:** The Tool and Die Machinist Technician will support manufacturing operations for a highly automated site in Cary, IL. This role will primarily help design and fabricate equipment to drive process and productivity improvement and reduce costs by using machine shop equipment such as but not limited to CNC, Lathes, Mills, Band Saws and other equipment. The role also has responsibility for a variety of projects within the manufacturing operation including designing, repairing, and improving production equipment processes across the plant. + Effectively and timely asses, organize and implement corrective actions to critical unplanned downtime or extended set up issues in machinery using design, fabrication, and machining experience. + Partner with Engineering to implement long-term solutions to improve and/or eliminate recurrence of equipment issues. + Periodically assess, recommend to management, and implement new technology or machine shop equipment to improve overall program effectiveness + Responsible for the coordination of scheduling of optimal production run order, planned work orders including PM’s, and process improvement work orders within machine shop. + Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Production Planning to keep priority schedules in line across business functions. + Communicate shift project reports and statuses to other leads and production technician + Identify, suggest, recommend to management, and implement modifications to increase productivity and lower costs + Notify Maintenance Technician Supervisor of any unusual problems that need escalation. **What you need:** + High School or GED + Minimum 2 years of experience _\#INDGQO_ Health benefits include: Medical and prescription drug insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, personalized healthcare support, wellbeing program and tobacco cessation program.
