Job Description

The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and supermarket rack refrigeration systems across retail facilities. This role ensures optimal equipment performance and safety, supporting smooth store operations.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC/R systems.Diagnose and repair refrigeration and HVAC issues using digital and manual tools.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and industry regulations.Maintain accurate records of repairs, refrigerant usage, and inventory.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Proficient in electrical troubleshooting related to HVAC/R systems.EPA Type I and II certification.Vocational/Technical HVAC/R certification and 2+ years of experience, or 4+ years of relevant experience.Valid Drivers LicenseExperience with large-scale rack refrigeration systems.Strong skills in preventive maintenance and document management.Excellent communication and people skills.

Work Environment

Work involves navigating narrow, confined spaces such as storage areas and mechanical rooms. Exposure to varying temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, wet, or drafty conditions. Duties may be performed on rooftops, scaffolding, or in ceiling spaces. Requires movement over uneven or slippery surfaces, especially during inclement weather. Overnight shifts and varying schedules may be required. Frequent travel between facilities may be necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $93600.00/yr.
