Job Responsibilities:

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED

Some of the equipment and tools used are basic hand tools, punch tools, Oscilloscope, laptop/PC, AMP probe, AMP probe, Mega ohm meter, Multi Meter, MIG & Stick Welder, Basic Shop Machine tools, Crane (Jib and Bridge), rigging tools (Come-along, chain fall, jacks, etc,) pumps, vacuums and vacuum generators.

KNOWLEDGE

EDUCATION: 

High School Diploma or GED required; Minimum of 3 years maintenance or tooling experience.

TECHNICAL TRAINING: General knowledge of industrial maintenance with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical, robotics, or controls applications.

OTHER:  Journeyman Certification preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

WHAT TYPES?  Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

HOW MUCH?  Minimum of three years on the job training with heavy industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capability.

WHAT TYPES?  Maintenance experience with CNC equipment, automation, sensors, robots, tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls. Experience in a supervision role.   

HOW MUCH?  Minimum of 5 years of work experience

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR ABILITIES WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THE JOB?

Motor Control, PLC and Ladder LogicElectrical Theory and troubleshootingKnowledge of electrical componentsBasic understanding of services and variable frequency drivesWelding experienceApplicable rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures.Robotic troubleshooting skillsHigh Level of mechanical aptitudeMathematical Skills (work well with probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations).Reasoning ability (ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables).

WHAT AREAS OF TRAINING ARE REQUIRED?

New Hire Orientation, OSHA Required Safety, Product and Process Overview, Understanding the Charter, Lean Manufacturing Overview, 5S & Visual Management, Basic Robot, Basic and Intermediate Allen Bradley PLC, Resistance Welding, Magna Ethics & Compliance.
