In Data, we are responsible for delivering this data, news and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately. We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies, and we implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes - all while providing platinum customer support to our clients. Bloomberg is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support our Physical Assets and Geodata team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that empowers our data professionals and ensures compliance with industry standards. This documentation will be made available internally and also externally to our vendor partners or clients. **We’ll trust you to:** - Author and manage documentation used by data analysts, data managers, data entry specialists, and government auditors. - Clearly explain complex topics related to data collection, data entry, data processing, data governance, and data quality control. - Migrate existing documentation from Microsoft Word and Google Docs into a modern static site format. - Conduct thorough research independently as well as consult stakeholders for feedback to gather necessary information. - Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of information. **You’ll need to have:** - Proven ability to quickly understand and explain complex technical concepts. - Excellent writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and accuracy. - Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to factual correctness. - Strong research and information-gathering skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **We’d love to see:** - Experience with Git and GitHub. - Knowledge of Markdown and YAML. - Experience using static site generators (e.g., MkDocs, Docusaurus, GitHub Pages, etc.). Please note, this is a Hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days work from home) based out of our Princeton office. Salary Range = 130000 - 160000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
