Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Manufacturing Technical Writer to join our team. This role will be instrumental in documenting and standardizing manufacturing processes, SOPs, and work instructions in both English and Spanish to support the seamless transition of production lines to our Mexico-based team.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers, production managers, and technicians to gather technical information and process workflows.Develop, write, and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials for manufacturing operations.Translate technical documents accurately between English and Spanish, ensuring clarity and consistency.Create visual aids such as diagrams, flowcharts, and photos to enhance documentation.Maintain version control and ensure documentation complies with ISO standards and internal quality systems.Conduct on-site observations and interviews to validate procedures and ensure accuracy.Support training initiatives by providing clear and accessible documentation for cross-border teams.Assist in the development of digital documentation systems and templates for scalable use.

Essential Skills

Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.3+ years of experience in technical writing within a manufacturing or engineering environment.Familiarity with ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Confluence).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with SOP development.Understanding of technical writing and its application in manufacturing settings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
