Position Summary

The Technical Writer is responsible in creating and maintain clear, concise, and accurate documentation, including policies, procedures, and manuals. The ideal candidate will translate complex technical information into accessible content for various audiences, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. 


Responsibilities

Create and manage content: Research, write, and edit a wide range of documents, including policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), user manuals, and training materials.Gather information: Collaborate with subject-matter experts (SMEs), including engineers, developers, and operations staff, to collect and verify technical details.Ensure compliance: Maintain and enforce document templates, style guides, and version control to meet quality standards and regulatory guidelines, such as those for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or ISO.Improve documentation: Review and revise existing content to improve clarity, accuracy, and usability. Incorporate feedback from users and SMEs.Support process improvement: Work with internal teams to identify process gaps and document new or updated workflows.Standardize content: Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, and messaging across all documentation.Publish and maintain: Use a content management system (CMS) or document management system to publish and archive documents.


Requirements Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.A minimum of 2–5 years of experience as a technical writer, with a focus on policies, procedures, and manuals preferred.Expertise in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Technical Communication Suite (FrameMaker, RoboHelp), or Markdown-based systems.Experience with document management or content management systems (CMS), such as Confluence, SharePoint, or other wikis.Knowledge of version control software like Git is often a plus.Ability to create or interpret diagrams, flowcharts, and illustrations to enhance understanding. Meticulous approach to writing, editing, and proofreading to ensure accuracy and consistency.Ability to conduct thorough research, ask probing questions, and synthesize complex information.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong critical-thinking skills to anticipate user needs and simplify complex ideas.Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and build relationships with SMEs.Ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
