The Technical Writer will be responsible for updating and formatting documents according to set priorities. While the Technical Writer will not directly create content, they will ensure that documents meet formatting requirements as directed by the QMS administrator or Project Subject Matter Expert (SME). These documents will be finalized for presentation to external parties as needed, utilizing red-lined documents, dictation, and examples of existing documents.
ResponsibilitiesUpdate approximately 150 out of 300+ documents identified in the QMS for updates.Prioritize document updates according to tier system: Tier 3 (Core processes), Tier 2 (Supporting documents), and Tier 1 (Compliance updates).Ensure documents meet formatting requirements and are suitable for presentation.Incorporate workmanship standards from licensors into unified documents.Create training documents to support revised documents and new business processes.Develop flow charts to simplify QMS presentation.Work under the direction of the QMS administrator or Project Engineer, reviewing daily task flow and maintaining organization with in-boxes and out-boxes.
Essential SkillsExperience in technical writing.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe programs.Ability to take dictation.Detail-oriented and organized.Experience in manufacturing and with flow charts.
Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Excel and Visio is a plus.Experience with auditing and validation is beneficial.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite position requiring 40 hours per week over a 6-month period. The role involves working closely with the engineering team, ensuring all managers and teammates are available and visible. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $47.00/hr.
