Technical Writer
PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the Technical Writer is to develop, write and modify accurate technical documents for internal Global Management System needs and external customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop, write and edit materials to document Global Management System processes, including, but not limited to Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Work Instructions, Operating Deviations, and Quality AlertsAssure compliance with internal ISO procedures (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018) through proofing, editing, and releasing accurate documentsSupport external compliance audits for surveillance and recertification in addition to attaining new certificationsObserve production and work with Operations to develop complete and understandable process documentsAssume responsibility for technical accuracy and completeness of all project documents and related technical publicationsConduct internal Audits and work with Operations to correct document Non-conformance itemsAs required, develop, write, and edit external customer technical documents including, but not limited to, publications, service notes, procedures, and promotional materialAs required, assist in developing, writing, and editing training materials Other duties as assignedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Skills/knowledge:
Excellent computer skills including a proficiency in all MS Office applications and familiarity with other tools such as Web usage, Adobe, Adobe Acrobat, and HTML, etc. Proficiency in Visio and SharePoint is a plusKnowledgeable of technical standards and operating proceduresExcellent communication and organizational skillsHigh degree of professionalismSelf-motivated acting autonomously with little directionOutstanding research, writing, organizing and technical skillsExperience/Education:
High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred1 to 3 years’ experience in a related field such as the ISO Certified Wireless or Telecommunications industryEnvironment:
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may spend 4-8 per day sitting and working at a computer. The ability to adjust focus, use hands to grasp, finger, handle, reach or feel and sit for prolonged periods are needed for this position. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication utilizing a headset.Work environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
