Job Description
This position is responsible for writing all technical materials, including equipment manuals and operating and maintenance instructions for both military and commercial programs. The role requires an overall understanding of technical manual development to ensure that content, style, and format adhere to current standards. It is crucial to ensure the quality of manuals meets both company and customer expectations.
ResponsibilitiesAuthor technical materials such as equipment manuals and operating and maintenance instructions for military and commercial programs.Ensure that content, style, and format of technical manuals adhere to current standards.Maintain the quality of manuals to meet both company and customer expectations.Essential SkillsAdvanced knowledge in desktop publishing software, SGML, XML, and HTML.Understanding of electrical and mechanical concepts, maintenance documents, and drawings.Expert knowledge of military standards such as Mil-Std, DE Style Guide, and MIL HDBK 1222.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with technical writing, documentation, and specifications.Knowledge of military standards and requirements.Work Environment
This role is within a DOD contract manufacturing company located in St. Louis. The team consists of 12 individuals, and you will work closely with field engineers. The position offers a unique schedule with every other Friday off.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
