Job Summary:
The Technical Writer develops clear and concise technical documentation for various audiences. They collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and usability of documents such as manuals, SOPs, and FAQs.
Responsibilities:
Research and Information Gathering:
• Conduct thorough research on technical topics and terminology
• Gather information from various sources, such as subject matter experts, product specifications, and user feedback
• Verify accuracy of information and cross-check with multiple sources
Writing and Editing:
• Use technical writing techniques to translate complex concepts into easy to understand language
• Write and edit technical documents, including user manuals, training materials, and technical reports
• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all written materials
• Proofread and edit documents for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors
Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and designers
• Communicate effectively with subject matter experts to understand technical concepts and processes
• Simplify complex information and communicate it to non-technical audiences
Visual Aids and Formatting:
• Use diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance understanding of complex concepts
• Ensure consistency in design and formatting of technical documents
• Create and maintain templates for various types of technical documentation
Project Management:
• Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines
• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects
• Track and report progress on projects to management
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with industry trends and changes in technology
• Identify areas for process improvements and recommend solutions
• Attend trainings and workshops to enhance technical writing skills.

Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communications, Engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Proficiency in documentation software and content management systems.
• Experience working with technical staff to create documentation for end-users.
• Excellent communication and research skills.
• Ability to meticulously document and track project details and changes.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with various project teams and stakeholders.
