Job Description
The Technical Writer will perform document updates according to established priorities. The role requires ensuring that documents meet formatting requirements as directed by the QMS Administrator or the Project SME. Content will be provided through various means such as red-lined documents, dictation, and examples. The finalized documents must be suitable for presentation to external parties when necessary.
ResponsibilitiesPerform document updates based on established priorities.Ensure documents meet formatting and quality standards.Collaborate with the QMS Administrator and Project SME for content direction.Organize and manage documentation using in-boxes and out-boxes.Update approximately 150 out of 300+ documents in the QMS, focusing on core processes, supporting documents, and compliance updates.Incorporate workmanship standards and create training documents to support revised and new business documents.Develop flow charts to simplify the overall presentation of the QMS.Essential SkillsTechnical writing experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe programs.Ability to take dictation.Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.Experience in manufacturing and with flow charts.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Excel and Visio programs is a plus.Auditing and validation experience is a plus.Experience in document control and engineering.Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite position requiring 40 hours a week over a period of six months. The Technical Writer will work closely with the engineering team, with all managers and teammates available and visible. The role offers opportunities for professional development and cross-functional collaboration.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $47.00/hr.
