Job Title: Technical Writer, Manufacturing
Location: Onsite (Monday-Friday, with flexible hours)
Duration: 12-18 months (potential for conversion to direct hire)
Pay Rate: $32-38/hr (negotiable for exceptional candidates)
Overview: System One is seeking a Technical Writer for an onsite role in the manufacturing sector, where you will play a crucial role in documenting and enhancing work processes within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to observe and document current work processes. Conduct thorough standard work process reviews to capture data and identify areas for improvement. Organize and create comprehensive technical documentation that reflects the observed processes. Engage with team members across various shifts to ensure accurate and timely documentation. Maintain flexibility in your schedule to accommodate varying operational hours and processes. Ensure compliance with safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the manufacturing floor. Provide a sample of your technical writing for review, and be prepared to discuss your documentation process during the interview.Qualifications:
1-5 years of technical writing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel. Experience in documenting complex processes and creating clear, concise technical documentation. Ability to navigate a manufacturing facility, including the use of stairs and working in varying temperature conditions.
