About the Role

Responsible for determining the acceptance and the associated rates and benefits of the insurance applications based on guidelines set for the issuance of AIA insurance policies

• Apply standard rates and calculate premiums on new businesses and renewals
• Assess risk and pricing to maximise economic profit and value
• Ensure underwriting policies, procedures and guidelines are in compliance with AIA's values and standards
• Build and develop, implement, and maintain AIA's underwriting policies and standards
• Build and develop and deliver functional / technical training in underwriting related areas
[Use this profile for underwriters covering multiple product lines (e.g. individual life and individual health) simultaneously, as well as for positions delivering training for underwriters, and use Medical Advisory and Health Services profile for positions handling complex and / or high risk medical underwriting cases]

•Responsible for other relating tasks as assigned to align with business policy and build long term business growth.
