GENERAL PURPOSE: Organize, track, prioritize, and monitor the prepping and proofing of customer orders for multiple facilities (Hicksville, Raleigh and Lexington). Provide complete and immediate communication of item and job orders and schedules noting possible delays and problems of any kind to CSR's and Production Manager. Accurately enter orders from both customers and CSR's into the JMS system. Assist CSR's with inquiries, samples and miscellaneous requests in general.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Schedules items and jobs through Prep according to needs or due dates.Serves as coordinating contact between Prep operators, CSR's and production.Maintains up to date and accurate information in both hard copy and electronic formatsDevelops project time lines and monitors to ensure on-time delivery.Sorts and organizes all in-coming artwork into JMS and acts as a second set of eyes to compare proofs for quality control.Provides prompt communication to the CSR and Production Manager of any existing challenges in meeting requested file or plate-ready dates.Evaluates incoming files and proofs ensuring they meet the technical requirements necessary to meet customer needs. Compares in-coming work specifications with specifications used for sales order. Analyzes customer files for fonts, images, integrity and printabilityDistributes customer supplied materials and/or information to CSR's and/or Production Manager.Makes entries into JMS with correct file specifications from customers and/or CSR’s.Follows through with jobs to press to guarantee best results.Handles multiple jobs in various production stages in JMS.When discovered, immediately e-mails concerns or issues with item files or jobs to CSR's and Production Manager.Attends production meetings to monitor Item and Job needs as well as to report completions of Prep work.Produces daily Production notes as required.Performs other job duties as assigned. 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or G.E.D. Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in related field required.Demonstrates understanding of product/project specifications.Must be competent in various software applications and certifications, such as Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and a variety of Pre-Press Programs. Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and email.Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills.Must be well-organized and able to manage time efficiently.Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.Must be reliable and able to maintain good attendance.Must be willing to work overtime as needed.Must be accurate and thorough when capturing and communicating data or information.Must be able to perform essential functions of job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
