About the opportunity
We are seeking an engaging Technical Trainer who is passionate in technology and take pride in sharing their technical knowledge.
As a Technical Trainer you will oversee the suite of Axis training offerings, curriculum, and its delivery to service Axis partners, system integrators, and end customers within the Oceania market. You will also partner with our stakeholders in the region to design and deliver bespoke training by localising it to their training needs.
You will draw on adult learning theories to deliver engaging and effective training in a classroom environment as well as various modes including webinars and in small demo-cases at trade shows.
The role will work closely with HQ Sweden (Academy), Sales Engineering and Sales team to implement new material from HQ and draw in contemporary scenarios to enrich the learning experience.
The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney. There will be a requirement to travel domestically to deliver training within the Oceania and some international travel. The estimate travel requirement is between 35-45% of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver professional, up to date training in their region: Axis Academy, customized training, demos at trade shows & any other training activitiesInitiate, coordinate and deliver webinars on Axis products and solutions in their regionsPromote Axis training internally and externallyParticipate in the development of Axis Communications training offering in cooperation with Global Training and the Council representative in the region and give continuous feed-back to the academy team on existing and future material as well as actively participate in updating and reworking modules.Maintain classroom training facilities (if available at Axis office) or look for the best location (hotel, conference center) to deliver class room trainingBe the point of contact on training within the region internally and externallyCoordinate and oversee the enrolment student journeyActively take part in the trainer community at Axis (on a global level)Keep updated on any news development in the industry, in his/ her region or legislation regarding video surveillanceQualification and Experience
Experience in delivering technical training in an adult learning settingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Systems or similarStrong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, VPN’s, etc.)Strong knowledge of video transport protocols and compression technologiesStrong knowledge of image quality and photography principlesImportant skills, abilities, knowledge for this role:
Excellent presentation skills, motivating customers and other stakeholders when transferring our knowledge about products, systems and the market to stakeholders and customers.Familiar with adult-learning theories and demonstrated ability to deliver training in various modes eg. Classroom, webinars, trade shows.Ability to create, develop and customise training materials and training programs.Hold technical knowledge about products and systems - to be able to show that Axis is the leader when it comes to knowledge about this marketPassion for teaching, open minded and a team player with an experience of working in a multinational environmentFluent skills in English (written and verbal)Be a team player, flexible and collaborative by naturePositive mind-set and can-do attitudeRequirement to travelWhat we have to offer
