Technical Support Professional – IT Specialist
**Introduction** We are looking for a Technical Support Professional (IT Specialist) to support IBM clients through contracted technical engagements in both a remote/virtual and customer onsite capacity. Requirements include technical capability and experience with Microsoft Intune Endpoint Management, as well as Hyper-V skills. The ideal candidate would also have PowerShell scripting skills. Other nice-to-have technical skills listed are not mandatory however would help to strengthen the overall client support our team provides. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are an important part of this position. The ideal candidate would be adept at delivering customer presentations and explaining complex technical solutions to non-IT clients. **Your role and responsibilities** Ideal candidate will have strong capability with: * Microsoft Intune Endpoint Management * Microsoft Hyper-V * Microsoft PowerShell scripting Additional required skills: * Creating reports, delivering customer presentations, explaining complex technical solutions to non-IT clients Optional nice-to-have skills: * Networking (IE. Cisco, Aruba/HP, Meraki, Juniper) * Firewalls (IE. PAN, Fortinet) * VMware, Datacentre installs, Hybrid Cloud Migrations, Backup Architecture (Veeam), Disaster Recovery implementations * Cloud skills in Azure (Hybrid Cloud and Networking) - Entra ID * Nutanix Cloud computing * Security: NIST, Splunk * Microsoft Azure A5 Feature Implementation: Defender for Endpoint, Identity, M365; and Sentinel; and MFA, Conditional Access Policies, PIM, etc. * Microsoft Active Directory - design, implementation, migration, hardening, optimization * Microsoft Purview * Certificate Services * Microsoft Power Platform * Consulting (IE. IT Environment Optimization, Auditing Existing Environments such as Entra ID for best practices) * Wireless Authentication (Radius, WPA 2/3, Certificate-based, etc.) **Required technical and professional expertise** * Post Secondary Technical Degree/Diploma/Certification(s) * Written and Oral Communication, Meeting Facilitation and Customer Presentation skills are necessary * Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the IT Industry * Fluent English speaking **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experienced working in the Canadian IT Industry * Experience working in/with the Education sector * Experience consulting, creating reports, delivering presentations to large groups, and implementing proposed solutions IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
