About the Role
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will support automation systems onboard vessels worldwide. You’ll troubleshoot using ABB’s Remote Diagnostic System (RDS), assist customers via various channels, and provide technical advisory both externally and within ABB.
Responsibilities
Support ABB Marine control systems on vesselsAdvanced troubleshooting via ABB’s Remote Diagnostic System (RDS)Further develop, maintain and analyze existing code for relevant embedded control systemsMaintain and further development of Marine control applications for ABB’s industrial PLC’sAssist customers via phone, email, remote access, and on-site visitsProvide internal technical support within ABB MarineContribute to product and service improvementsCollaborating with R&D on future solutionsConduct field service tasks globallyManage upgrades and retrofit projectsRequirements
BSc or Technical College educationExperience with automation systems (marine sector preferred)Fluent in English and Norwegian (spoken and written)Willingness to travel internationallyKnowledge of shipboard systems is a plusWe Value
