We’re seeking defence experienced technical professionals (must be AGSVA security cleared) with an interest in delivering complex and meaningful projects that support Australia’s defence capability. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of Australia’s land systems programs and help shape the future of defence within the following branches: + Armoured Fighter Vehicle Branch + Land Vehicle Systems Branch + Land Manoeuvre Systems Branch + Land Engineering Agency The Technical Professional applies foundational engineering principles to support project design and execution, contributing to operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role focuses on standard engineering tasks with growing complexity, progressively enhancing its impact on project outcomes and organisational goals through developing expertise. Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to: + Under direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. + With additional experience within one functional area, assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. + Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. As the ideal candidate you will bring: + Undergraduate degree in Engineering + Minimum of 2 years related experience + Hold, or be eligible for, membership of a recognised professional body. All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
