Job Summary
The Technical Solutions Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption and growth of Siplast and GAF premium commercial roofing solutions across Western Canada. This position blends deep technical expertise with a strong sales acumen, acting as a strategic partner to clients, architects, consultants, and the Siplast sales team. The Technical Solutions Sales Manager will be responsible for understanding complex project requirements, providing tailored technical guidance, and championing Siplast & GAF products as the optimal solution for commercial building envelopes.
Essential Duties
• Serve as the primary technical expert for Siplast & GAF roofing and building enclosure systems, offering in-depth product knowledge, application guidance, and code compliance support.
• Collaborate with architects, specifiers, engineers, and contractors to integrate Siplast & GAF products into project designs, ensuring optimal performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct technical presentations and training sessions for external partners and internal sales teams on product specifications, installation best practices, and innovative solutions.
• Provide detailed technical reviews of project plans and specifications, identifying opportunities for Siplast & GAF product utilization and value engineering.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges related to product application or performance in the field.Sales & Business Development Partnership:
• Work closely with the Siplast & GAF Western Canadian sales force to identify new business opportunities, engage with key decision-makers, and drive project specifications.
• Support the sales team in developing and executing strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing client relationships within the commercial roofing sector.
• Participate in client meetings, industry events, and trade shows to represent Siplast & GAF, build relationships, and promote the company's technical capabilities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key architectural and consulting firms, positioning Siplast & GAF as a trusted advisor and preferred supplier.
• Contribute to the development of sales tools, technical documents, and marketing materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of Siplast & GAF solutions.Market Insight & Product Development Input:
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and technological advancements in the commercial roofing and building enclosure markets in Western Canada.
• Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and innovation strategies.
• Provide insights to the product management team on market needs, performance requirements, and emerging opportunities for new or enhanced Siplast & GAF solutions.
