Position Overview
Partner with Account-based sales executives and Channel Partners to lead new sales growth in our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction space. Translate customer business issues into technical solutions through application of experience, in-depth knowledge, practical skills, innovative thinking, and vision of assigned industry(s). Engagements will require important skills such as vision to plan an account strategy, industry experience, sales process knowledge, understanding of Autodesk tools and how customers will receive value. This is a quota carrying position focused on driving sales.

This role is remote (home office) based within the US, aligned to your account assignments. You will report to your Technical Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

 Develop technical account plans and execute strategies/tactics for closing business in partnership with Account Sales Executives. Use knowledge and experience to ensure technical closure and alignment with sales strategiesOwn the technical discovery process to uncover customer business issues and provide Autodesk solutions. Present discovery findings and solutions to connect technology to business outcomes Build "trusted advisor" relationships by understanding customers' business processes, workflows, and technical requirements. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to provide the right knowledge during sales engagements. Demonstrate thought leadership and develop advocates within accounts to influence the success of Autodesk's solutionsAlign with key customer stakeholders to secure business and technical closure of proposed solutions. Manage technical evaluations, define solution architecture, product demonstrations and pilot projects. Capture ROI metrics to quantify customer return on investment and support customer goals and outcomesAlign with customer decision makers to secure technical closure of proposed solutions. Meet annual sales goalsCollaborate with Channel Partners and Customer Success teams to ensure satisfaction and adoption. Deliver compelling presentations and messaging to drive results from executive-level down. Stay updated with industry trends and develop new ideas for revenue growth. Influence product development through customer feedback and identified business opportunitiesShare Autodesk’s competitive positioning, vision, and value propositions effectively with customers to differentiate and position Autodesk as a trusted partner. Including, presenting at key industry conferencesUse exceptional communication and presentation skills to clarify and summarize complex issues for C-level executives, business development leaders, designers, and engineers

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent7+ years of experience in the Design and Manufacturing IndustryTechnical knowledge using Autodesk Design and Manufacturing solutions such as Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD, Fusion Manage, or similar industry softwareSolid understanding of the design & manufacturing product development processKnowledge of information flow within manufacturing organizationsInnovative mindset relevant to manufacturing processesRequirement: travel up to 50-70+% (air and car travel) to customers and Autodesk internal events

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $152,400 and $220,550. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
