Technical Software Program Manager
CTG is seeking to fill a **Technical Software Program Manager** opening for our client in **Chicago, Illinois** . **Overview:** This position is part of the Android Software Platform team responsible for development of leading edge innovative solutions, and carrier customization for mobile devices. Our Software Program Managers are responsible for owning quarterly release content and individual software development projects which includes end to end planning, tracking progress and risks, and reporting. They ensure adherence to solid development practices. Additionally, they drive improvements in quality and performance, defect issue resolution, and work closely with cross-functional product teams to deliver high quality, customer-centric Android devices. **Key Responsibilities:** + End to end program management of AI, ecosystem, cloud based services, and monetization projects utilizing both agile and waterfall development models. + Use project management tools (like Smartsheet, MS Project) to collaborate with product development managers, UI/UX, and development teams to create detailed project plans. + Schedule development and critical path analysis. + Ability to concisely present project status to senior management. + Track project progress to meet project milestones and drive to completion. + Identify and mitigate project risks by leading resolution to dependencies or issues. Effectively manage stakeholder expectations by promptly communicating the same. + Coordination with global teams + Exhibiting the following personal attributes: + Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as it requires clear and effective interaction with team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. + Multi-team interaction means strong people skills are important. + Should be self-motivated and capable of working autonomously, while also being an effective team player. + Logical thinker who can stay calm and articulate clearly while under pressure. + Ability to break down complex problems in a way that can easily be understood. **Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree: Computer science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering or related field + Language: English fluency, Mandarin or Portuguese nice to have + 7-8 years relevant work experience **Additional Skills:** Critical and innovative thinking | PMP | Presentation and communication skills | Risk-taking| SW Defect Management | Android experience | Scripting software Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
