Manage the technical support team for Division 3 operations facilities and pipelines to ensure the safe and efficient operations of all equipment, systems and staff. Direct and manage all Division 3 technical support personnel, consisting of three measurement groups, one corrosion group, and one mechanical services group. Areas of responsibility include: Trans-Colorado Pipeline, El Paso Natural Gas San Juan Basin and Gallup assets, CIG/WIC assets in western Colorado, western Wyoming, eastern Utah and into Montana, as well as the Altamont Gathering Midstream assets in Utah. Six direct reports and 43 total personnel located throughout the region. The work location for this position will be based in Grand Junction Colorado.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee the Measurement, Corrosion and Mechanical Technical teams supporting the operation and maintenance of Division 3 facilitiesDevelop short and long-term reliability-related plans, goals, and objectives within Division operations.Remain current with developments in the field, including updates to Gas Control.Review Management of Change (MOC) activities within the Division.Support division-wide technical training and technician progression objectives.Responsible for all efforts relating to the management of Lost and Unaccounted for Gas (L&U).Ensure the implementation and enforcement of all company guidelines, policies and procedures.Interact with customers on a regular basis to coordinate operations and construction activitiesMake recommendations to Management regarding changes to such guidelines, policies & procedures, as necessary to achieve target goals.Set objectives for preparing operating and capital budgets within the District and review monthly forecasts throughout the fiscal year.Oversee functions related to outside contractors operating on company property or in company Right-of-Way areas in order to protect company interests.Review progress and adjusts priorities and schedules as needed to ensure work is completed efficiently and on time. Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in a technical field OR 10 years equivalent skills and experience.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.

Must have working knowledge of PHMSA and OSHA regulationsMaintain a solid understanding of business objectives and implement projects and ideas that significantly impact cash flowOutline project requirements and monitor progress to ensure the objectives are being met. Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of the company procedures and government regulations relevant to pipeline operations.Work experience in natural gas industry instrumentation, electronics, and control systemsUnderstanding of process controls and gas processing fundamentalsKnowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high pressure systemsKnowledge and experience with high pressure gas, processing equipment, pumps and reciprocating or gas turbine engines and compressors

Pay range: $140,000 - $210,000 per year. This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set.
