Position Overview
The Senior Technical Services Engineer will work independently to review technical solutions, perform complex engineering and energy efficiency calculations, and support the delivery of Enbridge’s Energy Conservation programs. This role provides technical expertise, mentorship, and guidance to internal delivery teams and supports program implementation through project evaluation, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Review and assess technical solutions, including advanced engineering and energy efficiency calculations, primarily for commercial and institutional customers.
Provide technical guidance to delivery teams and less experienced engineers.
Support the improvement, training, and evolution of internal energy efficiency tools and calculators.
Conduct site walk-throughs with delivery teams to identify and evaluate conservation opportunities.
Review projects in DSM tracking systems and ensure verifiable final savings calculations that withstand audits.
Collaborate with internal departments to complete project review requirements.
Deliver annual technical training plans as assigned.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
Support customer audits, technical evaluations, and project implementation.
Uphold safety standards and actively contribute to a zero-incident culture.
Scope & Impact
Revenue Generation: Contribute to achieving annual Energy Conservation targets by providing technical insight and business acumen.
Resource Management: Work independently to meet scorecard and segment targets.
Relationship Management: Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders to protect and enhance the Enbridge brand.
Safety: Demonstrate safety leadership and ensure team members put safety first.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical preferred).
Licensed Professional Engineer (PEng – Ontario or equivalent).
7+ years’ experience in project engineering, technical sales, or project management.
Strong background in energy and process efficiency projects.
Deep knowledge of commercial, institutional, and residential HVAC systems, heating, cooling, and ventilation technologies.
Strong analytical and technical skills, with proven ability to complete accurate energy calculations.
Ability to lead and influence without formal authority.
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP).
Experience with industrial energy efficiency projects.
Knowledge of building codes, equipment standards, and GHG regulations in Ontario.

HVAC, Steam & Hydronic Boilers, Furnaces, Heat Pumps
Combined Heat & Power (CHP), District Energy Systems
Renewable Energy Technologies
Working Conditions
Hybrid office environment with light physical effort.
Weekly site visits to customer facilities for energy assessments.
Occasional overnight travel within Ontario.
