About the position:
Reporting to the Western Canada Regional Manager - Water Treatment, the Technical Service Specialist will be responsible for supporting our Sales team on a technical level through lab trials and field trials for product selection and operational improvements and optimization at our customers operations. The position is focused on Water Treatment Industry development.

What you’ll do:
Identify value added product options for customers operations focused heavily on Flocculants and Coagulants and specialty Water Treatment chemistries Conduct field trials at customers operations to confirm and verify lab findings in full plant trial environments Work with internal team and/or customers on new product formulations Respond to various customer’s technical or chemical performance queries Deliver internal technical training to personnel as required Participate in joint calls with the sellers in the Region, to support and identify new growth opportunities Assist Water Treatment Conferences and network with the industry stakeholders Available to travel approximately 25% of the time or as business requires Other tasks as assigned
What we would like from you:
Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a related field (i.e. chemistry; chemical engineering) 2-3 years of experience in technical sales or marketing preferred Strong knowledge of the operation of Water and Wastewater treatment plants with a strong emphasis on coagulation and flocculation chemistries Experience with the following lab scale equipment preferred; Scion 456 GC-FID, Perkin Elmer Spectrum, FT-IR, Hach DR 1900 Spectrophotometer, Turbidimeter, pressure filters, vacuum filters Ability to write technical laboratory reports and present findings to customers in a clear manner.
