Now Hiring: Technical Service Representative – Powder Coating (Tijuana)

 

Purpose of the job
This role is a blend of technical expertise and customer focus. You’ll be the frontline support for key accounts, helping drive sales by providing hands-on technical service, training, and troubleshooting. Your goal: support existing customers, solve challenges, and help grow the business in collaboration with the sales team.

 

Key responsibilities

Analyze and solve product-related issues (onsite and in lab).

Handle complex customer complaints effectively.

Support sales by understanding customer needs and helping develop strategies.

Participate in product testing and new technology implementation.

Build strong technical relationships with customers.

Keep detailed records using CRM tools (visit reports, actions, trends, etc.).

Deliver reports and insights on customer and market trends.

Monitor competitors' activities at customer sites.

Create training materials and deliver sessions for sales teams.

Support R&D projects with testing and feedback.

Manage a portfolio of key accounts, both commercially and technically.

Promote a strong company image and maintain long-term customer relationships.

Follow all HSE standards and company procedures.

 

Level of autonomy

Prioritize daily tasks based on value creation.

Make decisions in technical and commercial customer interactions.

Provide annual budget input for managed accounts.

 

Job requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or a combination of experience and education of 6+ years in B2B sales, manufacturing, chemistry/lab, or technical service and support. Experience in a powder coating. Knowledge & Work Experience – Paints and coatings industry, any B2B industry environment Understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes Ability to work independently and in groups Fluent in English and Spanish Strong problem-solving skills Strong communication skills, IE: writing, excel, PP, word, and public speaking Able to support and coordinate cross-functional activities Ability to travel 35% when required. Territory: California, Nevada, Arizona, Strong project management skills Communicate effectively at all internal and customer levels (R&D, engineering, quality, sales, purchasing, management) Must possess a valid driver’s license Valid passport and ability to work in Southern California Based in Tijuana or nearby.
