Huntsmans Advanced Materials division is now looking for a Technical Service Manager, Adhesives & Composites. This role is a team manager and located in Huntsman Shanghai Campus.

Reports to: TS Head of APAC

As the TS Manager, your responsibilities are: Ensure full compliance with all EHS policies, regulations and Huntsman compliance policies within entire area of responsibility. Directly lead and manage the team activities, ensuring they know their accountabilities and are able to fulfill them, provide all support, resources and coaching needed. Develop and manage a team of technical expertise that possess the required technology capabilities and competencies. Organize and allocate appropriate technical resources to support the Adhesives/Composites business needs and objectives in the region. Prepare and manage the budget, ensuring it remains on track and take corrective actions when required. Follow-up on related new emerging technologies and competition activities in order to foster a competitive positioning for the organization. Foster the collaboration with cross-functional/regional/divisional teams. Drive continuous improvement and make suggestions for product improvements and new product/technology development. Skills and experiences required:

Education:

PhD in chemistry, polymer materials, materials chemistry, photochemistry, etc.

Experiences:

At least 10 years experiences in product development, application support or field promotion of thermoset materials (Epoxy/PU/Acrylate, etc) for industrial applications, preferable in Adhesives and Composites, especially in electronics adhesives with minimum 7 years in team and project management role.

Technology Competencies:

Demonstrate an advanced level of practice in developing technical solutions to achieve specific application requirements. Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice in formulation technology and controlled processing of thermoset adhesives and composites materials (e.g., direct liquid process, prepreg, etc.). Demonstrate an advanced level of practice in curing and crosslinking technologies (Heat cure, moisture cure, and UV cure, etc.). Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice in the mechanical/surface characterization and testing of thermoset adhesives materials. Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice of rheology and chemo-rheology in filled and unfilled systems, and its use in Adhesives materials processing. Demonstrate an intermediate level of practice in chemical hazard classification and toxicology.
