We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Ion Exchange Application Specialist to join our Technical Service and Development Team in EMEA. This is a technical position that require you to work in the water solutions business to actively promote various technologies and applications, with focus on Microelectronics, Energy/Power. The role involves customer interaction, product promotion, technical training & troubleshooting, project simulations, laboratory and/or field trials to benchmark various products vs competition in different application environments and utilize the data generated for customer interactions and product qualifications. The target region is Europe.
The new position will be available in different locations: The Netherlands, Tarragona (Spain), Greifenberg (Germany) and Chauny (France)
Responsibilities:
Become a subject matter expert on ion exchange resins to position DWS’s products, providing technical guidance and consultation to internal teams (commercial) and external clients to ensure efficient and effective system designs, adequate operation and offer guidance during troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues.Work closely with customers and extend technical support by way of selecting appropriate products, running models & optimizing design in cost effective manner. Offer post-sales support for select projects as necessary.Identify & tap opportunities for innovation product / solution offering. Ensure documentation of the opportunities and related customer interactions.Work on new product development by taking lab / field trials to generate & validate product performance data. Strive for scientific innovation to bring competitive edge and capture value where appropriate.Joint visits with account managers to key brand owners / customers / OEMs / consultants for promotion of products & solutions.Develop jointly with commercial and marketing engagement programs (action plans) for priority markets to increase business visibility and positioning as technology partner.Develop and deliver technical presentations and workshops and customer seminars as needed. Provide training and technical support to customers on the systems operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ion exchange resins handling.Present technical proposals and solutions and/or alternative to customers and address their queries and concerns.Conduct feasibility studies, analyze water quality data, and recommend appropriate technology, equipment, and operating conditions to achieve desired treatment outcomes. Compile and update product documentation material like case histories and customer success casesUnderstand global business / regional strategies for respective businesses verticals. Share information on local business conditions, market dynamics, and competitive scenario with the team; and participate in formulating business strategies with regional marketing / business heads. Execute strategies in sync with the sales & marketing teams.Requirements:
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred (but not mandatory).Languages: English: highly proficient in both spoken and written10 years of experience in technical functions, such as Technical Sales, Technical Service or Project Management in water treatment.Relevant technical experience with Ion Exchange Resins theory, and its practical application in water treatment. Familiarity with water quality parameters, such as pH, conductivity, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, and contaminants commonly found in various water sources.Implement industry best practices of work & personal safety, performing a variety of pilot tests. Knowledgeable about standard methodsReadiness to attend business trips, up to 25% of the time.Customer centric attitude and capability to build up customer relationship and trust.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.Strong in digital technology and data analysis.Good interpersonal skills and capability to work in a multinational environment.Desired
