We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Specialist in Dairy and other Specialties applications to join our Technical Service and Development Team in EMEA.
The primary focus of this role is to provide technical service and support in the design, implementation, and optimization of wastewater processes and technologies for dairy and other specialty applications, working closely with customers, collaborators, commercial and marketing teams and other functions to develop customized solutions that meet specific market needs. Additionally, this role will be instrumental in exploring new emerging applications and opportunities with specialty membranes.
The target region is whole EMEA.
The new position will be available in different locations: Tarragona (Spain), Greifenberg (Germany) and Chauny (France)
Responsibilities:
Become a subject matter expert on dairy and other specialty applications to position DWS’s products, providing technical guidance and consultation to internal teams (commercial) and external clients to ensure efficient and effective system designs, adequate operation and offer guidance during troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues.
Present technical proposals and solutions and/or alternative to customers and address their queries and concerns, managing opportunities at any stage on technical level by using appropriate tools.
Develop jointly with commercial and marketing engagement programs (action plans) for the dairy market to increase business visibility and positioning as technology partner.
Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and develop customized solutions.
Conduct feasibility studies, analyze systems, and recommend appropriate technology, equipment, and operating conditions to achieve desired outcomes.
Provide training and technical support to customers on the systems operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Develop and deliver technical presentations and workshops and customer seminars as needed.
Together with commercial and marketing organizations, explore and define new opportunities / applications for existing products based on market feedback, regional needs and others as regulatory drivers. Provide feedback to strategic marketing, commercial and R&D for product improvement and development opportunities.
Compile and updates product documentation material like case histories and customer success cases in the defined applications.
Gives technical presentations and talks on conferences, exhibition, and customer seminars.
Requirements:
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred (but not mandatory).
Languages: English: highly proficient in both spoken and written + local language skills
10 years of experience in technical functions, such as Technical Sales, Technical Service or Project Management in dairy applications and/or water technologies.
Relevant technical experience with water and process solutions Technologies. Understanding of water technologies theory, and its practical application in the dairy systems.
Familiarity with dairy processes and key parameters (i.e: milk dewatering, whey protein, polishing and water recovery processes…)
Readiness to attend business trips, up to 30% of the time.
Customer centric attitude and capability to build up customer relationship and trust. Important to have an attitude to identify and solve problems at customers systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Strong in digital technology and data analysis.
Good interpersonal skills and capability to work in a multinational environment.

Experience in the design, operation and troubleshooting, engineering, and/or manufacturing of the technologies in the dairy or nutrition process or water industry.
Desired but not mandatory knowledge about new regulations and sustainability factors affecting dairy industry.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues related to performance of different technologies.
Flexible with ability to be attentive to detail as well as see the big picture
Project Management: Proven experience in managing and leading projects. Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
